Robert Jordan

Robert Jordan (pen name of James Oliver Rigney Jr.) was an American fantasy author best known for The Wheel of Time, a 14-novel epic that reshaped the genre and sold over 90 million copies worldwide. Jordan wrote prolifically — as many as 14 hours a day — and was working on the final three books when he died of cardiac amyloidosis in 2007. Brandon Sanderson completed the series from Jordan's extensive notes. The Wheel of Time premiered as an Amazon Prime Video series in 2021.
