About Kingkiller

Patrick Rothfuss's The Kingkiller Chronicle follows Kvothe, a legendary figure now living as a retired innkeeper under the name Kote, narrating the story of his own life over three days to the Chronicler. The Name of the Wind (2007) is Day One, The Wise Man's Fear (2011) is Day Two, and a third volume has been anticipated but not published as of 2026. The series is celebrated for Rothfuss's prose style, its nested narrative structure, and its Sympathy magic system. The Slow Regard of Silent Things (2014), a standalone novella about the character Auri, is the only other Kingkiller fiction published.
