About Slaughterhouse-Five
Kurt Vonnegut's Slaughterhouse-Five (1969) is a standalone novel following Billy Pilgrim, an American soldier who survives the Allied firebombing of Dresden and has become unstuck in time. Semi-autobiographical — Vonnegut himself survived Dresden — and famous for its refrain 'So it goes,' the novel is the defining anti-war novel of the Vietnam era.
