About Nausea
Jean-Paul Sartre's Nausea (1938) is a standalone novel following Antoine Roquentin, a historian in a provincial French city who becomes afflicted by the visceral contingency of existence. The most direct fictional expression of existentialism, it is one of the defining works of twentieth-century French literature.
