About Copenhagen

Copenhagen (1998) by Michael Frayn is the most intellectually ambitious British play of the 1990s — the physicist Niels Bohr, his wife Margrethe, and Werner Heisenberg in the afterlife revisiting their mysterious 1941 meeting in occupied Copenhagen, when Heisenberg (heading the German nuclear weapons program) met his former mentor. The play integrates quantum mechanics and the uncertainty principle into its dramatic structure; won the Tony Award and the Evening Standard Award.
